Famous Star Indicted On Charges And Released On Bail Bond

The English tycoon and ex-proprietor of Tottenham Hotspur, Joe Lewis, was indicted on charges of insider trading in the United States and was freed on a $300 million bail, guaranteed by his luxury yacht, the "Aviva," and a private airplane. He entered a plea of not guilty to the accusations, which encompassed 16 counts of securities fraud and three counts of conspiracy to commit fraud. The accusations originated from claims that Lewis divulged secret information to acquaintances, romantic interests, and staff, including personal pilots, who subsequently utilized the data to gain financially in the stock market. Subsequently, Lewis admitted guilt to one charge of collusion to perpetrate stock fraud and two charges of stock fraud. He was ordered to three years of probation and a $5 million fine, evading imprisonment because of his age and health. His company, Broad Bay Ltd, also admitted guilt and was fined $44 million.

Famous American Vocalist Chris Brown Granted Bail Bond

The American vocalist, Chris Brown, has been released on a £5.3 million bail bond by a British tribunal while confronting accusations of attacking a music producer with a glass container in a London discotheque during 2023. This verdict permits Brown to continue with his global concert series, which was initially jeopardized due to his apprehension and detention. The tour is scheduled to commence on June 8th in Amsterdam and will encompass performances in the United Kingdom and North America. Brown is charged with inflicting severe physical injury with malice aforethought after purportedly hitting music producer Abe Diaw multiple times with a bottle, subsequently punching and kicking him in an assault captured on security footage. Brown's subsequent hearing is set for June 20, and he has yet to submit a response.
